REGENT SEVEN SEAS INTRODUCES CUSTOM-PUBLISHED COMMEMORATIVE ALBUMS
Partnership with SharedBook Inc. lets cruise guests create books online
and re-live the experience in print
NEW YORK - March 24, 2006 Regent Seven Seas Cruises and SharedBook Inc., a pioneer in
custom publishing, have partnered to launch custom albums for cruise guests on Regent's Tahiti, Alaska,
Mediterranean and Baltic programs.
Every guest on any of the four Regent Seven Seas (formerly Radisson Seven Seas) cruise
programs will now have the opportunity to create a personalized book online, to be printed as a one-of-a-kind
vacation keepsake. Guests on one of Regent's Inaugural European sailings from July through November on the
line's flagship, the 700-guest all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Voyager, will be offered the book compliments
of the line as part of the inaugural season celebrations.
Vacationers to Tahiti and Alaska can order their Regent Commemorative Albums beginning in April.
Guests traveling to the Baltic and Mediterranean will be able to build and purchase personalized books beginning in July.
"Taking a cruise is memorable and relaxing. Each trip has its own destinations and activities," says
SharedBook CEO Caroline Vanderlip. "Guests who build a SharedBook have a unique, personal memento that encompasses all
the highlights of the shipboard experience, coupled with their own special memories."
Using SharedBook's patent-pending Web technology, guests can create personalized Regent Commemorative
Albums by adding their own materials to an interactive, online template. This template features scenic views from the
ship and facts about the destination as well as highlights of onboard activities. Individuals can easily upload up to
200 pages of text and photos. Families can work collaboratively on a group book; and friends can swap photos and "write" in each others' books.
Each full-color, completed book is a unique as its author. A click of the mouse immortalizes the best
of the Web in a hard- or soft-cover enduring memento.
"Regent Seven Seas is committed to providing our guests with unique and personalized luxury experiences,"
said Sophie Vlessing, vice president guest strategy and marketing for Regent Seven Seas. "By partnering with SharedBook Inc.,
we can offer our guests an innovative way to create a personalized commemorative album and re-live The Regent Experience(sm) for years to come."
