SHAREDBOOK APPOINTS PETER BUDD VICE PRESIDENT OF PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND USER EXPERIENCE

Proven Customer-focused Executive Responsible for Product and User Interface

NEW YORK – August 8, 2007 – SharedBook Inc., the Reverse Publishing Platform provider, has appointed Peter Budd to the position of Vice President of Product Development and User Experience. In this role, Budd will be responsible for guiding the innovation and implementation of the user interface for SharedBook's Web-based applications while focusing on providing an exceptional customer experience.

Budd joins SharedBook after spending 18 years at The Hertz Corporation, where he was primarily responsible for driving adoption of the Internet to become the largest single source of revenue for the organization. Most recently, as Senior Director, e-Business Development, Budd designed and oversaw operations that lead the world's largest rent-a-car company to $1 billion in annual online revenues.

"Peter Budd has a proven record of leading cross-functional, multi-national teams to great success," said Caroline Vanderlip, Chief Executive Officer, SharedBook Inc. "His experience designing products within both business-to-business and business-to-consumer business models will be a significant asset to SharedBook as we develop new ways to reverse publish personally-relevant online content into printed book format."

For much of his career, Budd's work has focused on driving customer acquisition and retention and offering a superior end user experience. During his time at Hertz, he also created and implemented organizational structure and design standards, which are now an integral part of business operations for the corporation.

Budd's appointment comes at a time when SharedBook is preparing to launch reverse publishing solutions with five new partners in the next 45 days. While each project addresses the need to develop new revenue streams for online content, the solutions are diverse and apply to a wide variety of markets from college sports to the school yearbook industry.
