SHAREDBOOK AND JumpTV GIVE OHIO STATE FANS
ABILITY TO CREATE CUSTOMIZED FANBOOKS UTILIZING WEB CONTENT
WHO: SharedBook Inc., the Reverse Publishing Platform provider, and JumpTV, a division of JumpTV Inc., launched the ability for fans of Ohio State University to create personalized FanBooks today, beginning with content from the team's site.
Buckeye fans can now chronicle the season, which will come to an end in tonight's BCS National Championship Game, in a personalized FanBook by combining official team information with individual memories and photographs.
WHAT: With just one click, students, alumni and fans of the Buckeyes can now automatically flow their choice of content from the team's site – news articles, player and coach profiles and professional photographs – into a customized FanBook. The team roster and a schedule complete with results are also included in each book.
Fans can then choose to preview and purchase the book immediately, or to personalize it more by adding their own comments, photos and stories.
Individuals can also invite friends into their private and secure personal book making space to contribute their own stories and photos. Anyone invited into the space can create their own book if they like.
Pricing for the personalized FanBooks begins at $34.95 for softcover and $39.95 in hardcover, which includes a full-color 20-page book and free domestic shipping.
ABOUT: SharedBook and JumpTV first introduced the ability to create personalized FanBooks with the University of Georgia (2008 Allstate Sugar Bowl Champions), James Madison University and the University of Pennsylvania in late 2007.
