Developers, on your mark! Get set! SharedBook's Open API (Application Programming Interface) allows you to dynamically create a custom printed book from existing online content, opening new possibilities for developing more personal relationships with your Web communities and brands.
Congratulations to Gerald Speers of BallofDirt.com, an online travel journal, the winner in the SharedBook Open API Challenge. Once development is complete, the application will enable travelers to automatically flow online journal entries, photographs and other relevant images into SharedBook's Reverse Publishing Platform for on-demand output.
To spread our gospel, we have organized a development contest to promote its broader use. You can implement your project in any programming language you choose. Have fun and enjoy!
Winning projects will be selected by the following criteria in three categories by a panel of judges both from SharedBook and externally:
Contest closed Oct. 31 at midnight.
Categories and Awards
Awards will be given to the best project in each of three categories. Winners will receive their choice of either an OpenMoko mobile phone, a 8GB iPhone, or $500 cold, hard cash.
